Skip & Hook Lift Bins For Hire

Cleanaway’s skip bin hire features the most comprehensive range of skip bins Adelaide has to offer, designed to accommodate every size and capacity, for a wide variety of applications. Our skip bins (also known as Marrell bins) use a lift on/lift off system to provide a versatile single lift bin system.

We provide a range of bins to suit both residential and commercial requirements, whether it’s clearing out the garage, or cleaning up a large building site. Apart from the two cubic metre mini skip bin, all our skip bins feature a rear opening door for easy loading and is compatible with most bobcat machinery.

Skip bins saves time and cost compared to landfill disposal, especially when used to handle large, heavy, non-compactable waste fractions from building and demolition sites such as bricks, sand and timber. It’s also an ideal way to manage waste generated from household renovations, garden or office clean ups. By having a dedicated disposal point centred around our skips, site safety and aesthetics are not compromised.

Green waste removal and recycling

Today’s market place demands products to use in their garden beds and landscaped areas that are:

  • 100% Organic
  • Good for the garden & attractive
  • Low maintenance
  • Able to control weed growth
  • Efficient in minimising water usage

Cleanaway Adelaide, through our subsidiary Adelaide Organic Recyclers (AOR), conducts controlled composting operations in a licensed facility at Liston Road, Lonsdale, and have successfully delivered high grades of mulches and composted organic soils to the market place for 20 years.

Our green waste dump takes all sorts of bulk organic waste including yard waste and tree removal waste and turns your garden waste into premium garden mulches & soils products.

Material delivered to AOR’s operation is sourced from waste reduction activities at Cleanaway’s Lonsdale Waste and Welland Waste Recycling Depot, council parks and gardens, contractor collection services, and the general public.

All bulk organic waste is inspected to minimise contamination of the end product before being processed by our tub grinder. Material is then composted to our rigid quality procedures to ensure a safe, quality product ready for sale as our ‘garden mulches and soils’ products.

Mulches & Soils

Mulches add beneficial organic matter to soil surfaces and are made of either organic or inorganic material. There are many benefits in using mulch – from giving a garden nice aesthetics, to improving overall soil fertility.

Thanks to our composting operation at Liston Rd. Lonsdale, we are able to return all vegetation waste and soils collected from our transfer stations to the market place as quality products for your garden.

Purchase of the products and general enquiries can be made through our Donegal Rd. Lonsdale site. We can handle both small and bulk orders as well as arrange for deliveries, if required.

  • Conserves soil moisture
  • Moderates soil temperature by insulating the soil surface
  • Reduces soil compaction caused by equipment and people
  • Reduces soil erosion from wind or water
  • Slowly increases soil fertility through decomposition (organic mulches only)
  • Reduces fruit rot by eliminating contact between fruit and soil
  • Reduces winter injury by minimizing temperature variation, reducing water loss in plants and decreasing heaving of plant crowns and roots
  • Aids weed control

Mulch Products

Cleanaway offers three different organic mulch types that are commonly used in South Australia.

Strong and sturdy – our Forest Mulch is suited for all types of terrains and excels on sloped areas. A cost-effective solution for large areas suited for both domestic and commercial applications.

Extensively used in manicured gardens. It’s an organically premium mulch blend that delivers a pleasing appearance.

Composted soils are designed to improve your existing soil condition, slowly releasing its nutrients to encourage stronger root growth.

Recycling: bottles, cans, scrap metal and cardboard & paper

Our Lonsdale and Welland recycling depots accept all major recyclable items from general household waste to commercial waste. Our sites are EPA licensed to operate bottle and can collections and offers the 10c cash for cans refund as per EPA container deposit legislation.

We are not just a bottle recycling depot, we also accept Adelaide’s cardboard recycling items such as newspapers, magazines, egg cartons, pizza boxes and paper cups, together with our scrap metal collection services.

We have a strong presence in Adelaide for scrap metal collection and offer cash payment for all non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, alloys, stainless steel, radiators, electrical wiring, lead, electric motors and car batteries.

Many of the chemicals and metals in batteries can be recovered to make new batteries. This process is cheaper, less energy-intensive, and safer for the environment than manufacturing batteries from scratch.

By recycling our car batteries, we keep chemicals such as lead and cadmium from leaking out of the waste stream and threatening the integrity of our entire ecosystem.

Acceptable items

The range of materials recovered from the waste stream to be recycled includes

  • Ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • All types of beverage containers
  • Newspaper
  • Cardboard
  • Glass jars and bottles
  • Green garden waste
  • Wood and timber
  • Concrete and bricks etc
  • Household appliances
  • Household goods and other bric-a-brac
  • Oil

When we recycle, we save precious raw materials from being used in the manufacture of new products. Everyday items like aluminium cans, glass and plastic containers, batteries, computer parts, and used engine & cooking oil all have the potential to be recycled and its materials used to make new items.

By closing the loop on the manufacturing process in this way, we’re helping reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill while saving the environment from being unnecessarily mined for resources.
