About the Driver Academy for Women

Have you always thought about joining an organisation that is passionate about sustainable waste management solutions?

Thought about doing something different in your life?
What about driving a big truck? No experience required!

Cleanaway is excited to be running the Driver Academy for Women, tailored to women, female-identifying and non-binary persons, to help close the gap in the waste management industry.

Get paid for training as you get ready to sit your Heavy Rigid (HR) licence. Be part of the community as you flip bins to help make a sustainable future possible together.

What does the Driver Academy for Women involve?

The Driver Academy focuses on women, female-identifying and non-binary persons who have never driven a truck before. Part of this academy is an extensive training program that includes obtaining a heavy vehicle licence, learning the ins and outs of what it’s like to be a heavy vehicle driver, and how to operate a heavy vehicle. You will also be mentored by experienced drivers to support you in your Cleanaway journey.

This exciting initiative gives you the opportunity to become a part of the waste management industry and start a new career path with Australia’s largest sustainable waste management company.

Friends and family of Cleanaway are encouraged to apply.
