Fatal incident at Melbourne Regional Landfill
Cleanaway regrets to announce that late yesterday afternoon, there was a fatal incident at Cleanaway’s Melbourne Regional Landfill.
The fatality occurred when a customer’s truck struck a worker from another customer vehicle. The incident occurred in an area away from the tip face.
Cleanaway is providing support to all of the workers at the site that have been impacted by this tragic incident and extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
Investigations into the incident have begun and Cleanaway is supporting the relevant authorities with their investigations.
