About
What is a
waste audit?
A waste health check (or waste audit) is the first step to setting up a good waste management plan. It aims to reveal resource recovery opportunities that can be brought to life through additional waste streams and waste education, as well as identifying ways to reduce your landfill volumes.
Our audit service can include a practical waste assessment, where we visit your site and assess whether your current waste streams are the best solution for your business, along with identifying ways to improve waste management practices by understanding your needs and workforce demographics. We can also offer more detailed audits, where we undertake real-time analysis of your bin contents, using this data to help optimise your waste management and resource recovery outcomes.
General waste and recycling audits
Understand what’s going into landfill vs what could be recovered - including food waste. Ideal for those looking to reduce waste to landfill.
Commercial and industrial waste audits
Tailored assessments for warehouses, retail, offices and factories to support operational efficiency, coupled with waste station and source separation advice.

Expertise
How the audit process works
We work with you to define the goals and scope of the audit - whether it be a single site or multiple locations, one stream or total waste profile.
Based on your audit requirements, our experienced team will attend your site to assess your current waste profile. On some occasions this will involve a physical audit of bin contents or may just be a walk through.
If an in-depth physical audit is requested it will involve selected waste streams being sorted by material type, weighed, and recorded for analysis.
You will receive a report, including waste composition, contaminants, and practical improvement strategies.
We can support the implementation of new waste management systems and education and can also look to re-audit periodically to measure improvement.
