Fuel supply

Latest news

As you would be aware, the current conflict in the Middle East is having a direct impact on fuel supply globally and has caused an increase in fuel cost within Australia with a direct impact on our supply chain.

It is important to note that while the price of fuel in Australia has been impacted, Cleanaway does not anticipate any disruption to our services. We have enacted our business continuity planning approach to ensure we are informed and prepared to respond, should the situation change.

We are contacting customers directly about what the increase in fuel prices will mean for pricing on our services.

If you would like more information or if you wish to discuss your services, please contact your account manager or call 13 13 39.

The Federal Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has contacted the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) and advised that any prioritisation process will be undertaken in accordance with the provisions outlined in the relevant legislation (available here: The Liquid Fuel Emergency Act 1984 - DCCEEW). While the Waste and Resource Recovery (WARR) sector is not explicitly identified within this framework, the Department has indicated that a prioritisation process will be applied, and the industry will continue to work closely with them on this matter.
