Process

Our offshore process

Pre-mobilisation and safety planning

We conduct detailed risk assessments, logistics planning, atmospheric testing requirements and scope definition to ensure safe and compliant deployment offshore.

Modular equipment mobilisation

Our Zone-2-rated, compact modular units are mobilised to platforms and FPSOs, enabling high-productivity cleaning, catalyst handling, nitrogen purging and waste recovery with minimal deck footprint.

Controlled execution in hazardous environments

Multi-skilled teams perform catalyst handling, vessel cleaning, pigging, decoking, nitrogen purging and mechanical support under a single coordinated framework.

Waste recovery, treatment and reporting

Recovered offshore materials are safely containerised and transported to our licensed onshore treatment facilities, including the Gap Ridge Processing Facility for hazardous residues.

Outcomes for your offshore operation

Cleanaway delivers offshore services that enhance safety, reduce operational downtime and improve asset reliability across FPSOs, fixed platforms and subsea-connected processing facilities. Our multi-skilled workforce provides exceptional flexibility, reducing contractor numbers and improving the speed and consistency of each scope.

With specialised equipment, confined-space-free methods and industry-leading catalyst and vessel cleaning technology, we minimise risk while delivering predictable, repeatable results across shutdowns, campaigns and major maintenance programs.

Our capability integrates seamlessly with onshore operations, ensuring hazardous offshore materials including mercury-impacted residues, NORM solids and hydrocarbon sludges, are safely transported and treated through our high-temperature solutions at the Gap Ridge Processing Facility.

Whether supporting a turnaround, conducting routine maintenance or providing specialised reactor and catalyst services, our offshore teams deliver safe, compliant and efficient outcomes across the entire asset lifecycle.

What happens to waste

All offshore waste streams including hydrocarbon sludges, wash water, mercury-impacted residues, NORM solids and slops are safely containerised and transported onshore under strict regulatory controls. Hazardous materials are directed to Cleanaway’s high-temperature treatment facilities where contaminants are destroyed and recoverable materials are reclaimed with full waste tracking and compliance reporting.
