This week a fleet of 72 brand new waste and recycling collection trucks rolled into the Central Coast Council as part of the 10-year contract to deliver essential waste management collection services to the area, with service beginning from 1 February 2018.
Under the 10 year agreement, Cleanaway will be delivering general waste, recycling and green waste collection services as well as six free kerbside bulk waste collection services per year for each residence. Cleanaway will also be rolling out 65,000 new 140 litre bins across the council.
Central Coast Council residents can expect minimal disruption from the change as many of the team members from the previous supplier have joined the Cleanaway team. The popular 1Coast website and phone number will also stay the same, serviced by a dedicated call centre working out of a purpose-built facility based on the Central Coast.
The new fleet is fully equipped with Cleanaway’s industry leading Cleanaview system providing near real-time service information that allows for single-call customer service response and insights that will reduce contamination and improve recycling.
