Canada Bay Council Waste Management Strategy |

The City of Canada Bay Council is recognised as a leader in the field of environmental and waste management. The City’s waste management strategy focuses on responsible management of household and commercial waste, with an emphasis on recycling and waste minimisation. Education of the community is integral to the success of this strategy.
In addition to community education, Council is committed to educating local businesses about waste reduction and other environmental initiatives. Council has also undertaken internal programs to educate it’s own staff about positive environmental behaviours especially in relation to waste reduction and recycling.
The following pages have been developed by Council in partnership with Cleanaway, Councils Waste Services Contractor, to assist you in accessing information relating specifically to the City’s Waste and Recycling Services. It also provides information on how you can contribute to a more sustainable future through reducing, reusing and recycling your waste, and making our homes more earth friendly. We believe that together we can reduce our waste to landfill and create a sustainable future for the community. |
